Magona Castle is a historic building located in Venturina Terme, in the municipality of Campiglia Marittima, in the province of Livorno.
The origins of the castle date back to around the year 1000 when an initial fortified nucleus was built as part of a defensive system to protect the Tuscan Maremma.
Over the centuries, the castle underwent numerous transformations, taking on its current appearance in the 19th century when it became a prestigious noble residence.
Grand Duke Leopold II of Tuscany frequently stayed there, making it a significant landmark in the region’s history.
Today, the castle hosts a luxury accommodation facility, preserving its historical and architectural heritage intact.
